“I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.” (Psalm 91:2).
No matter your circumstance, the most important thing is what you are believing and saying of God. If you choose to believe God’s Word regarding the circumstance and keep “saying of God” accordingly, your final outcome in the circumstance will be exactly as God has promised in His Word, no matter how long it may take to come to pass! For example, if you have sickness in your body and you keep believing and “saying of God” that He is your healer, just as His Word says in Exodus 15:26, your healing will surely manifest!
Similarly, you can overcome troubles of life that look impossible to overcome by choosing to consistently “say of God” that He is your SHIELD, your GLORY and the UPLIFTER of your head, just as it is written, “LORD, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me. 2 Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah. 3 But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.” (Psalm 3:1-3).
Another example is when faced with fear of the enemy, you can choose to consistently “say of God” that He is your REFUGE, and FORTRESS and your God in Whom you TRUST, just as it is written, “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. 3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. 4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. 5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; 6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. 7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. 8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.” (Psalm 91:1-8).
What You Say of God Determines What You Get From Him
Whatever you believe and say of God is what He will do for you! In Numbers 14:28 we see this truth very clearly when God said: “Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:” Furthermore, the Bible teaches us that what we say with our mouths is what will fill our lives up! As it is written, “A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled. 21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” (Proverbs 18:20-21)
Saying of God As His Word Says Is What Pleases Him
Every time you believe and say what the Word of God says, you are walking by the kind of faith that pleases God (Romans10:6-10; 2 Corinthians 4:13). And God Who gave us the promises in His Word is always faithful to perform them! (Numbers 23:19; Hebrew 10:23). In Jeremiah 1:12 the Amplified version of the Bible says, “Then said the Lord to me, You have seen well, for I am alert and active, watching over My Word to perform it.” God is always ALERT and ACTIVE, watching over His Word to perform it if you wholeheartedly believe and steadfastly speak His Word! As it is written, “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:10). Hallelujah!
